Hello! So, you want to know more about the woman writing all these entries, huh? Well, I lead a pretty simple life so there’s not too much to tell. I am a single mother of a now adult son. He and I moved down to Southern California in the summer of 2007. I had left his father the year before and had finally decided to move down here to be closer to family. My oldest brother is apparently a lifelong bachelor. My next oldest brother has a sweet wife and two adorable kids. They are their mini me’s, that’s for sure. My father died March of 2009. My mother was down there with us all. I worked at a large entertainment resort in their costuming department for over a decade. I worked with various performers given whatever venue I am scheduled week by week. It can be a thankless job money-wise, but the pleasure that came from the work is what kept me going back week after week. As for hobbies and what I do in my spare time, well that is usually taken up by reading any psychology or sociology book I can find and crocheting and knitting whatever project I’ve currently taken on. Saturday nights are usually the night reserved for mine and my son’s time together to watch a movie. He recently found a refurbished Epson projector for dirt cheap so now they are spent watching them projected onto his room’s wall. My son has inherited my love for gadgets of all kinds and so you can find them around us at all times. When I can afford it I love to go for drives alone. Finally having a reliable car has helped me get this much-needed alone time more often.
I’m a very basic person overall. I suffer from depression, low self-esteem, and body issues, but I try to always look for the silver lining in everything in life. I suffer from panic attacks when I focus on the negative for too long. Keeping my mind busy with my crochet and knitting projects really helps keep the attacks at bay for the most part. I’m moody as all hell, but if you can put up with my bitchiness the laughs you get on the other side are worth it. I love comedy, action, and romance movies the most. Tv-wise I prefer to watch the History, Science, Sci-Fi, Discovery and Hallmark channels the most. Forensic and puzzle type shows keep my attention the most. My guilty pleasures are romance books, pretty much all Nora Roberts books, and soft erotica novels (those books you are too embarrassed to show the title of cause it’s always something cheesy like Bad Boy Millionaire or She Rides a Cowboy or something).
So there you have it. A quick summary of the woman writing all these posts you are enjoying reading. Everyone has many facets to their personalities, both seen and unseen. I am no different. Here I hope to share some of those facets with you all.
